This beautiful "Theme Prize" float for 1972 was our 18th year to be entered in this outstanding event seen all over the world.
The fountain of youth, covered by the Canopy, supported by 4 Huge Garlands, is symbolic of our order, with our "Theme" "You Make Me Feel So Young". Riding the float were, Gary Dimon, Grand Ruler, Patty Brayton, Theta Rho Assembly President and three lovely young ladies from the Childrens Home of Calif., Debora Pennington, Tammy Tedeschi and Sue Watt.
The float was 50 feet long, 16 feet high and 18 feet wide. The Fountain and Canopy were covered with white Gladiolus petals, the Garlands, which form the base of the fountain, were covered with Christmas tree branches, Fern, and 15,000 pink Camellias, each individually pinned to the base. Approx. 5000 red, white and yellow roses on the tips of the Garlands and in the fountain, each in its own individual tube and stuck to base.
