People of the Americas was our entry for the Fabric of America theme in this years parade. Although we did not win an award, we received more name recognition and media coverage then ever before due to its design and to the unique use of material.

Using hair spray on the palm bark that was used for hair on the buffalo along with the use of fruits and vegetables to decorate got us on "Good Morning America" during the pre-parade show.

The Odd Fellow and Rebekah riders on the float were Susan Wolgamott, a Coquille from Oregon; Lola Edwards, a Chumash from California; Louis Schmitt, a Cree/Chippiwa/Metis of British Columbia, Canada; Marie Dykes, a Cherokee of Oklahoma and Wanda Attaway, a Chickasaw from Arizona.
