"100 Years Of Floral Excellence" is the theme of the Odd Fellows-Rebekahs Float inthe 100th Anniversary Year of "The Tournament of Roses Parade", with the parade theme of "An American Celebration". We celebrate our 35th consecutive year of participation as a result of the continual dedication and support of all Odd Fellows and Rebekahs. The outstanding float depicts two large doves pulling a ribboned patch work quilt. Each patch or panel of the quilt is a subtle design suggesting "An American Celebration" beginning with New Years Day; continuing to Christmas or Hanukkah, for a total of 64 quilt panels. The riders are Cody Dean, Grand Ruler; Tasha Pruitt, President of TRA; both of California, James Stanley, Grand Ruler of Colorado; Kim Smeltzer, President of TRA of Washington. They are decorating the float during the parade to represent the continuity of The Tournament of Roses Parade. Darrell Kidwell. |
