Scared silly is the theme of the Odd Fellows-Rebekahs float in the 102nd year of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade with the parade theme of fun 'n games. We were honored with the award of the princess trophy. This exceptionally colorful float represents the thirty-seventh year (37th) in a row of our participation in parade; of which we are extremely proud.

The entire float is made up of a large four poster bed. Seated in the center of the bed is grandpa and grandma reading a book entitled scary tales to their four grand children. Peering out under the bed is a bed monster, with large blinking eyes and a red nose.

The float is decorated with thousands of roses and orchids. Also mums, carnation-petals, bark, plus many seeds were used to bring out the finer points of the float, thus making a most beautiful, outstanding float.

The riders on this year's float are: Kenneth Proctor, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Calif., Alice Ayers, inside guardian of Rebekah Assembly of Mass., Sadie Shannon, president of Theta Rho Assembly of Calif., Chris Schuler, Grand Ruler of the Grand Junior Lodge of Calif., Kathleen Smith of Calif. and John Prosk, Jr. of Calif.
