"First Place Winner"

The Odd Fellow-Rebekah Rose Parade Float for 1975 was based on the "International Peace Garden" and the Entrance Gates to same, installed by the Odd Fellows & Rebekahs of the world, to commemorate nearly 200 years of peace between two great nations. Thousands of roses, white and yellow mums, as well as carnation petals, seeds and petals of many other flowers, all installed by the members of our order, to make this beautiful float something the whole order can take pride in, by letting the world at large know of our humanitarian endeavors.

Riding this float were the Grand Ruler of California Larry Shapard, Theta Rho Pres. Linda Traister, Paul Larouche, Junior Lodge member of New Jersey and Bonnie Cheesman, Theta Rho Girl from Mass. They were fine representatives, and the float committee were all happy to have them on your float. This was the 21st year in a row that our order was privileged to take part in this outstanding event. Your contributions have made it all possible, and we thank everyone for their support.
